Financial Services

You may have money already invested.

You may be expecting a substantial legacy from a relative's estate; you may be anticipating capital from a divorce settlement; your personal injury claim may be about to resolve itself with damages.

You will be looking from time to time for investment advice.

wouldn't dream of guiding you on our own through the pitfalls that can overtake the unwary. Always you need to consider if your money is working properly for you, how much income and ready capital you need now; how much you can afford to put aside for the longer term; the obligation to protect your savings against inflation; whether you want to be cautious; whether you are willing to take a bit more of a risk with some of your funds in the hope of greater gains; and so on.

find that many of our clients are uncertain where to look for expert and independent investment advice. This is not surprising since the major Banks, most Building Societies, and High Street Investment Advisers have become "tied" to one particular investment house or insurance company. This means that they are able only to recommend investments or insurance policies of the one company to which they are tied, except in relation to a narrow range of products. In effect, they are salesmen for that company. This may well prevent them from recommending the best investment for your purposes. What they offer may be good, but there may be something better on the untied market.

believe it is important to ensure that our clients have available to them advice which is both expert and independent. This means advice which is not influenced by any "tie".

If you are interested in receiving such advice (without any obligation to accept it, and without any cost if you choose not to proceed) we would be pleased to hear from you.

And, since we as solicitors are bound by our professional codes not to accept the commission which is paid to the financial adviser by the investment house where your funds are placed without sharing it with you, you would be in for a substantial "in-your-hands" bonus - which you certainly would not be receiving from the Financial Adviser with his office on the High Street - if you take such advice through us.

Rarely is that bounty paid to you less than £500, and we continue to help clients in the way.
